Our Venture Unit reopened with an enrolment of 12.

Our Scout Group received the Frank Sands Award. We also took part in the Scout Rally which was attended by our President Mr S.R. Nathan himself.

Our Scout Group was awarded the Frank Sands Award.
Unit Leader Mr Sim Hai Sha was awarded the Long Service Award (Silver).

Our Scout Group sent in 10 members to take part in the Singapore Youth Festival Parade.

Our Scout Group formed our own Lion Dance Troupe and performed for our school's opening ceremony.

Our Scout Group sent in 40 Scouts to participate in the Adiji Chief Scout event where we welcomed our then President Mr Ong Teng Cheong to the Scouting family.

Scout Muhammed Faizad represented Singapore at the 14th Thailand Jamboree.

Scouts Yang Chun Hua, Li Xiang Long and Chen Ruiqiang were awarded the Chief Commissioner's Award at the West Area Campfire cum Awards Night.
Unit Leader Mr Sim Hai Sha received The Meritorous Service Award from the President of Singapore, Mr Wee Kim Wee.
Our Scouts also provided homestay for a group of 44 students who came for a study visit from Arakawa City, Tokyo, Japan.
Unit Leader Sim Hai Sha was appointed Deputy Contingent Leader leading a team to the 8th Malaysian Jamboree

Scout Tay Chuen Siang represented The Singapore Scout Association at the 17th World Scout Jamboree which was held in Korea.

Unit Leader Mr Sim Hai Sha represented The Singapore Scout Association at the 32nd World Scout Conference in Paris, France.
During the same year, 5 of our Scout members participated in the National Camp.

Unit Leader Mr Sim Hai Sha was appointed to the post of Assistant Area Commissioner (West).

Scout Chen Jinyu represented the Singapore Scout Association at the launching of Job Week in the Istana.

Our Scout member, Tan Teck Giap represented Singapore at the 7th Japan National Jamboree. In the same way, Unit Leader Mr Sim Hai Sha attended the 4th Malaysian Jamboree.

Unit Leader Mr Sim Hai Sha was one of the Singaporean representatives at the 1st Asia-Pacific and Golden Jubilee Jamboree in the Philipines. It was a life-changing experience as they not only attended the camp, but met with a life-threatening situation where the bus nearly fell off a cliff.

Our Scouts represented Bukit Panjang Government High in the Scout Rally at the National Theatre.

|
The Bukit Panjang Government High School 1406 Scout Group was formed in 1958. The pioneer batch of Scouts consisted of 33 and had 7 Scout Leaders.
Our first recorded Scout Leader was Mr. Tan Lian Huat. He held the title of Group Scout Leader from 1960 till 1966.

Back then, our Scout Den was just a shack made out of wood. Now we have a modern one in the CCA Block.
